New Orleans Launches Diversion Program Powered by Advent’s Diversion Manager

The New Orleans City Attorney's Office Aims to Reduce Recidivism and Transform Lives Through Technology-Enabled Court Programs

LOUISVILLE, K.Y. (February 26, 2026) – The New Orleans City Attorney’s Office (NOCAO) launches new Municipal and Traffic Court Diversion Programs utilizing Advent’s Diversion Manager Platform (Diversion Manager) to deliver an alternative for low-level and non-violent offenses. Now live, this program leverages Diversion Manager to connect eligible participants currently facing conviction and incarceration to rehabilitative services designed to address the root of criminal behavior and reduce recidivism.

"The goal of the program is to ensure that New Orleanians have access to interventions that support and enrich lives for constructive change, " said City Attorney Charline Gipson.

Diversion Manager streamlines participant intake, tracks program compliance, monitors progress, manages case outcomes, maintains data security and provides full reporting capabilities. This comprehensive technology enables seamless coordination and communication between the NOCAO, Municipal and Traffic Court, service providers and program participants.

The program is already seeing support from the local community advocates. “We share New Orleans’ goal of keeping drivers safe,” said Sunny Wall, Louisiana Executive Director of Mothers Against Drunk Driving. “Preventing future offenses and educating the public in an empathetic setting about the lasting effects of impaired driving.”
