Broome County District Attorney's Office Expands Partnership with AdventFS to Launch Groundbreaking AUO Reduction Program
First-of-Its-Kind Program Addresses New York's Aggravated Unlicensed Operation Crisis
LOUISVILLE, K.Y. (April 30, 2026) – The Broome County District Attorney's Office, a long-standing AdventFS customer, has expanded its use of the Advent Traffic platform to launch an Aggravated Unlicensed Operation (AUO) Reduction Program—the first program of its kind in New York State. This innovative add-on module represents a strategic response to one of the state's most pressing traffic safety challenges.
Building on their existing partnership with AdventFS, Broome County is pioneering a new approach to address AUO violations, which have become a significant issue across New York. The AUO Diversion Program provides eligible defendants with an alternative pathway to resolve charges while completing education requirements through a streamlined, automated process.
"We're proud to expand our partnership with Broome County District Attorney's Office as they lead the way in addressing the AUO crisis in New York," said Josh Hartlage, President of AdventFS. "This first-of-its-kind program demonstrates their commitment to innovative solutions that balance accountability with rehabilitation. By adding this specialized module to their existing Advent Traffic platform, Broome County is setting a new standard for how District Attorney offices can efficiently manage AUO cases.”
The AUO Diversion Program is designed to reduce court congestion, improve compliance outcomes, and provide defendants with educational resources to prevent future violations. The program operates entirely online, allowing participants to complete requirements on their own schedule while the District Attorney's Office maintains full oversight and tracking capabilities.
As an add-on to Broome County's existing Advent Traffic implementation, the AUO module integrates seamlessly with their current workflows, requiring no additional infrastructure or staffing. The platform's data-driven approach enables the office to monitor program effectiveness and make evidence-based decisions about case management.
